This walk starts with a brilliant scramble up Blac This walk starts with a brilliant scramble up Blackden Brook, packed with waterfalls, and heads over to the Aztec Rock, Edale Moor trig point and Madwoman's Stones. This is a challenging 7.6 mile Peak District walk, with sections of off-path exploring in the heart of the Kinder plateau - only tackle this if you're confident with navigation, especially in poor weather. This walk explores some of the history of the Goyt This walk explores some of the history of the Goyt Valley, starting with the eerie ruins of Errwood Hall before heading up to Shining Tor, the highest point in Cheshire to discover the Airspeed Oxford wreck site. The route then visits Cats Tor and Foxlow Edge, as well as the tucked-away St Joseph's shrine. This is a 7 mile walk ticking off 3 Ethels and a trig point! If I was going to do the Ethel’s again I’d do If I was going to do the Ethel’s again I’d do it differently… here’s how: I’d do the rubbish ones first, or do more of the rubbish ones with a good one. We went for the good ones first (Black Hill was our first one) and were left with Croker Hill as our last one. It should have been Black Hill. So here are a few snaps of the trig from the last month!
