Edale Pub Walks
Edale is a classic starting point for many a Peak District walk, and is home to a couple of great pubs – The Rambler Inn and The Old Nags Head Inn, right by the start of the Pennine Way. We love starting a hike from Edale, having a day on the hills and then calling in to The Old Nags Head for a spot of late lunch or tea (aka a “tunch”), or having a pint of something in the beer garden on a sunny day.

Pub Walks in Castleton
There are lots of pubs to choose from in Castleton, including Ye Olde Nags Head, Bulls Head Hotel, the Castle Inn, the George, Peak Hotel and Ye Old Cheshire Cheese. Here are some walks to try:
Hathersage Pub Walks
Hathersage is well served by pubs, including The George (visited by Charlotte Bronte), The Little John and The Scotsman’s Pack. Each of these walks starts from the village centre so you can pick your pub to visit.
Baslow Pub Walks
The Robin Hood Inn at Baslow is a great family friendly pub serving food and having a nice outside area. Here are a couple of walks which pass by:
Glossop Pub Walks
Glossop is a bustling town and a great base to explore the Peak District hills. Old Glossop is a beautifully historic village and was original Glossop town centre before the Industrial Revolution and the construction of the New Glossop part of the town. In the 1900s there were 8 pubs in Old Glossop, but now there are only 3 – The Bull’s Head, the Wheatsheaf and the Queen’s Arms Hotel.
Hope Valley Pub Walks
The area around Ladybower Reservoir has a couple of great pubs which serve food and make a great pitstop after a long walk. My favourite is the Yorkshire Bridge, which is perfectly placed for walks up Win Hill, but there is also the Ladybower Inn which is nearer for walks from Cutthroat Bridge. Here are a couple of great walks to try:
Curbar Walks
This walk passes by the Grouse Inn at Froggatt, so you can have a little stop off mid walk.
Pub Walks from Hope
As well as being a pretty Peak District village, Hope makes a great starting point for a hike on the hills. The Woodroffe Arms is right next to the car park and serves lovely food, making it a brilliant stop off after your walk.
Birchover Pub Walks
This walk starts near The Druid Inn, which serves really good food. We stopped off here after a 4 mile hike exploring the history of Stanton Moor.
Holmfirth Pub Walks
The Fleece Inn at Holme is one of my favourite pubs to visit after a hike, and it’s one we visit regularly as it’s usually on our way home. Here are some walks from The Fleece:
I hope you’ve found one of these Peak District pub walks to try. Enjoy! Â
